Connectrust is a commercial entity dedicated to the exportation and importation of wine and spirits from France. The purpose of this site, cafe-calva.com, is to facilitate the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process for the shipment of french wine from any vineyard in France to Singapore. The objective is to seek the lowest possible landed cost per bottle of wine to our Singapore hub, while at the same time upholding the quality standard expected from best in class wine transportation professionals.
Connectrust, is neither a forwarder (3PL) nor a carrier (2PL). It is a neutral wine supply chain operator in pursuit of a so called "fourth party logistics" (4PL) strategy, a term coined by Accenture in the late 90's. Asia Direct, as our service is known, is targeted at individuals and companies in the F&B sector who understand the value of freeing cash flow as a result of implementing a demand-driven supply chain with lowest possible inventories.
CAFE-CALVA.COM is the electronic repository of our Asia Direct service , the first stage of a capability customised to the needs of a global wine supply chain. The web site is evolving from a classic wholesale catalog allowing members to purchase wine by the case, towards a full fledged dynamic quotation system taking into consideration the current yield and capacity constraints of our scheduled airfreight and seafreight shipment consolidations. Philippe Sambor grew up in Paris and spent a few years in Reims, at the heart of the Champagne region, where he completed his studies. He spent most of his career in Asia, since 1987. His business interests are in logistics, transportation and the retail supply chain. He founded Connectrust in the late nineties, a technology startup that is today behind Café Calva regional expansion. Le Café Calva is a popular icon of French culture epitomized by Jean Paul Belmondo in movies of the 70's or by the writer Frederic Dard in his San Antonio series. Cafe calva is the anti-thesis of pretentious lifestyle. It brings about this quiet confidence that comes with people who value things for what they are rather than for what they appear to be.

Susan Tan
is a major shareholder of Connectrust and a non executive director of the company. She holds stakes in a leading Asia based third party logistics organisation with a regional presence spanning from India to Korea, where she is primarily involved. Susan started her
career with Siemens and has, ever since, been holding senior positions
in the logistics industry with European multinationals.
