Cafe Calva is the implementation of Asia Direct, our Direct Marketing model. If you are a consumer appreciative of quality,
the Club will value your feedback and provide opportunities
to learn more about wines and cocktails. As an end user, you will
be able to purchase and schedule home deliveries from the Cafe
Calva web site. If you decide to become more involved as a
Cafe Calva Club Executive member, you will then benefit from a privileged pricing scheme derived from
a point based reward system.
Club
Membership is opened to all, provided applicants are above
the minimum age required by law to purchase or consume wines
and liquors. There are two types of members: End-users and
Executive members.
End-users are
consumers with a registered account on the Café Calva web site. They purchase products from Cafe Calva either on-line, via fax
or phone at the retail price displayed on the Cafe Calva
web site. They either collect their order from a nearby collection
point or schedule a home delivery with Cafe Calva. Admission
is free and does not require any committment from the member.

Club
Executive members are active participants that recommend Cafe Calva products to other
end users. They are rewarded for their efforts by a point
system. In order to qualify, these members must undergo
basic training to become knowledgeable about the products.
To be considered "active" they must subscribe to an automatic re-ordering (ARO) scheme with Cafe Calva.
The ARO scheme may be subscribed for trial or renewable
periods of 6, 12 or 18 months each associated to a progressive
discount level on the retail price. To know more about

Cafe
Calva Direct Marketing model is of utmost simplicity and
leverages the Internet, in conjunction with face to face
networking sessions between existing and potential members.
The underlying principles for this model are "Knowledge" about the products, "Ethics" in the relationships between members, and of course "Quality". Products listed for sale on the Cafe Calva site are approved by a majority
of the members in consideration of their quality and their
value for money. The product listing is continuously challenged by
feedback from the members. Any product that consistently
meet negative feedback from a majority of the members is
ultimately de-listed from the site catalog. Likewise, members
that do not conform to the code of ethics adopted by the
Club will no longer be allowed to participate.
Club
Cafe Calva is a tasting forum for wines, liqueurs and fine
food. It is driven and animated by a community of enthusiasts
eager to share an Epicurian passion. They understand that
quality does not necessarily equate with brand. As for price,
which only reflects supply and demand, they also understand
it does not necessarily set a benchmark of good taste...
Club Cafe Calva is the Circus Maximus of food and beverage.
Thumbs up and the product thrives, thumbs down and the product
disappears forever from the virtual shelves. The focus is
on French products because Cafe Calva is a French concept
envisioned by French people. This does not mean we neglect
excellent products from other part of the World. Like an Embassy, we have simply decided to focus and talk about what
we believe, having some knowledge about and a mission to
promote.
For
end users, the immediate benefit is probably the convenience
of getting products they would like but cannot find downtown,
unless at a premium, or without an acceptable level of freshness.
