Armagnac is classified "Hors d'age" when the eau-de-vie has been ageing in oak barrels for at least 11 years. Maison Castarède in Chateau de Maniban keeps its Armagnac Hors d'age at least 15 to 20 years in oak barrels. This eau-de-vie comes from Bas Armagnac, the area known as producing the most famous and delicate Armagnac. |
